In keeping with its ethos, Edmund Rice College, provides an ASD (autistic spectrum disorder) progamme. As an ERST school, Edmund Rice College believes that children with specialised needs should receive their education within the least restrictive setting of the school’s mainstream classrooms and activities. At the same time students in the ASD Programme can access “homeroom” classes for curricular support, social outings and classes unique to the ASD Programme, focusing on each student’s own strengths and needs.
As a new school, Edmund Rice College has purpose-built facilities for to cater for students with ASD.
The school currently has an intake of 6 students in first-year and will enroll another 6 students for the academic year 2017/18. However, it will not enroll any students for the 2018/19 academic year.
